The Narcissus in Flores exhibition provided Raphaëlle Peria with an opportunity to once again explore the landscapes of her childhood. The numerous visits to the marshes bordering the Somme River were occasions to observe the flora constituting this landscape, but also to question how it has been shaped by humans. In the works presented at the Château Blanc, one finds this interest in vegetation, water elements, and the multiple reflections existing between water and plants. Like the hero in Ovid's tale, who falls in love with his own image until his demise, the theme of Narcissus chosen by the artist as the generic title for this new exhibition reflects on humanity's stance towards nature. Humans drink from it, destroy it, then protect it, always according to their own interests, and often forgetting not to interfere with it.

L’exposition Narcissus in Flores a été pour Raphaëlle Peria
